Utah, I Hope You're Ready For the Simpson's!

We did! We made the move out to Utah. For me, Sara, it's been incredibly exciting and, not going to lie, also a bit scary.

We went to court last Friday to plead our case before the judge as to why our family needed to be together. It was intimidating, to say the least. The judge ended up approving the move for Ryder and I to Utah, however we have to go back to court the beginning of February for a full on trial where after all the evidence, witnesses, ect has been heard, the judge will make the final ruling. A little intimidating? I think, YES! So, our trial hasn't ended just yet. But never the less, we are incredibly grateful to be here, in Utah, together. Its a step in the right direction.

This is the first time I have ever lived outside of Northern California, not to mention more than a half hour from my parents. It's a little scary, a little exciting and a lot making me feel like a grown up. I have Scott to lean on and he has me. The way its suppose to be. And the best part is, I know without question I can count on him. He is an amazing husband and for that I have been feeling such gratitude to my Father in Heaven for bringing him into my life.

So, Saturday we packed up my home in Folsom, loaded it on the truck, which by the way, was some kind of miracle of God combined with Scott and my dads excellent truck loading skills, that it all fit, and headed out for snowy Utah early Sunday morning.

After 11 plus hours in the car/truck, a lot of fun talking over the walky-talky's (over), and way too many stops to fill up the moving truck that was getting a whopping 9 mpg, we made it to Scotts uncles hanger where he is so graciously letting us store all of our stuff for the next couple months.

It was a long day.

And also, I have now come down with a super fun head cold. Yay!

But the snow is beautiful and we are together in, what will now be known as, our first home together. Life is good.

A thought for the day.....The past several months, or maybe I should say years, I have really learned a lot about how often times our life takes directions we never thought it would. And often time the trials that are presented before us end up being some of the greatest blessings of our life. I'm learning to rely on the Lord and trust that he has a knowledge of all things and can see ahead when I can not. As long as we put our trust in Him, He will NEVER lead us astray. We've been doing a lot of this lately. Putting our faith in Him to help things work out. I'm grateful for this knowledge, my family and the many blessing, especially those blessings in disguise I, we, have been given.
